AOSD 2007

Nov 8, 06:33 pm

The Sixth International Conference on Aspect-Oriented Software Development in 2007 will be held in Vancover, BC (Canada) from March 12-16. Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) and development has impacted Java more than .NET, etc. And yet, we’re not seeing wide spread adoption or are we?

Actually, we are, but it’s been somewhat “insidious” as AOP is optionally but naturally a part of what you can do in your everyday lightweight enterprise Java application development/deployment, that’s if you’re using Spring and even perhaps JBoss Seam.

But if you want to be an expert, take a look at tools such as AspectJ/Spring AOP, JBoss AOP, etc. For more, check out the industry track of AOSD conference. Also, Apress has a line of Spring books, a forthcoming JBoss Seam book, and even a book on Foundations of AOP for J2EE Development.

For more on AspectJ, check out this excerpt.
