Nov 30, 06:16 pm

Editor’s note: The following CodeMash Conference announcement was originally posted by Jason Gilmore, Apress Open Source Editorial Director and Inside Open Source Editor.

I’m very pleased to be heavily involved with the organization of CodeMash (http://www.codemash.org/), a community-driven developer conference which will be held at the fabulous Kalahari Resort (http://www.kalahariresort.com/hub/) this coming January 18-19, 2007. The goal is to bring 250+ developers hailing from the .NET, Java, and of course Open Source communities together to trade ideas and learn from each other. Going to be a really great event, and it costs only $99 to attend! We’ve also secured a ridiculously low $88/night hotel rate at the Kalahari. Registration is open, and its filling up fast, so sign up now before the seats are gone!

Bruce Eckel, Scott Guthrie, and Neal Ford are all slated as keynote speakers, and a total of 40 sessions will be held over the two days. Here’s a list of accepted talks so far (we’re still accepting abstracts! See the CodeMash website if you’d like to participate):

Intro to WCF (Josh Holmes)
SOA as a Conversation (Ken Faw)
Improve Your Testing with Open Source Testing Tools (Jim Holmes)
