InfoQ.com reports: Bruce Eckel proposes that we stop trying to use one language (Java) to solve all of our problems , and instead use Flex and Apollo as a front-end for systems written in Java.
Blending Java may be the way to go. Apparently, Java has not been lightweight, etc. enough in the Web tier either, which has led many in Java to use Ruby on Rails and even PHP, etc.

We write Java to AS3 translator, is still dev version, but I publish it soon. Now I prepare Java version of Apollo API, and create simple rpc framework for java server side/flex client side communication. It will be some like GWT. It is good idea ? (for java language is many free ide/tools)
